{ Week 8 } How Plants Receive Nutrients from Fish

My dad started a small patch of tomatoes a couple of years back using a similar technique to the video. Very primitive but similar ideas of using the tank of fish at the bottom as opposed to NFT which uses a nutrient film flowing into channels. Wish I had looked more closely at what he was doing at the time...

Natural Provider of Nutrients
Phosphorous, Nitrogen and Micro-minerals are provided by the fish waste as opposed to using Seasol or other fertiliser.

Additions
This system has iron deficiencies so you need to add this especially in the first year.
Calcium hydroxide and Potassium carbonate is also added. This also balances pH.
Sodium bicarbonate is a cheap option but sodium is not good for the system.
